Privacy policy

Who we are
iPothecary is a healthcare-commerce platform that provides eye care practices with a white-labeled storefront, in-clinic point of sale, fulfillment, and patient communications. Practices use iPothecary to serve their own patients under the practice's brand. This policy describes how iPothecary handles information across our website and platform. Each practice may also maintain its own privacy notice for its storefront.
Information we collect
- Contact details you provide, such as your name, email address, and mobile number.
- Order, pickup, and shipping details needed to fulfill a purchase.
- Communication preferences and consent records (including text and email opt-ins and opt-outs).
- Basic technical information your browser or device sends when you use our website or the platform.
How we use information
We use information to operate the platform on behalf of practices: to process and deliver orders, send account and order messages, provide support, keep the service secure, and — only where you opt in — send marketing. We do not sell your personal information.
How we share information
- With the practice you are a patient or customer of, so it can serve you.
- With service providers that operate parts of the platform (for example payment processing and message delivery), under contracts that limit their use of the information.
- Payment card data is handled directly by our payment processor and never touches iPothecary's systems.
Text messages and email
Order and account messages, and any marketing you opt into, are sent by iPothecary, the commerce platform for your eye care practice. You control what you receive: reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or manage your preferences in your account. See our Text Messaging Terms for details. Mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
How we protect information
Access to information is limited to those who need it to provide the service, account details sit behind secure sign-in, and sensitive notifications contain links only — details stay behind an authenticated page rather than in the message body. Where iPothecary handles protected health information on behalf of a practice, it does so under the appropriate agreements with that practice.
Your choices
You can request access to or correction of information we hold about you, and you can adjust your communication preferences at any time. Contact us and we will respond.
Children
The platform is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
