The messaging program
iPothecary operates a text-messaging (SMS) program for participating eye care practices and is the sender of these messages. When you provide your mobile number and agree to receive messages, you may receive recurring automated text messages from iPothecary, the commerce platform for your eye care practice. iPothecary is the messaging platform and sender of record; the practice is named as the business you shop with.
Messages you may receive
- Account and order messages — one-time verification codes, order and pickup updates, and product safety (recall) notices related to your activity.
- Marketing messages — only if you separately opt in. Consent to marketing is never a condition of any purchase.
How you opt in
You opt in by providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages — at an in-clinic kiosk checkout, at online checkout, or in your account. The consent screen states the program purpose, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and that you can reply STOP or HELP at any time.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe; you will receive one confirmation and no further messages on that number unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or contact your eye care practice. You can also manage your preferences in your account.
Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies based on your activity and the messages you have opted into. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. iPothecary and the practice do not charge for the messages themselves.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change, and message delivery is subject to carrier and device availability.
Privacy
Mobile numbers and messaging consent are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information, and mobile opt-in data is not shared with third parties for their own marketing.
